What you'll need for the biscuits:

  • 1 bag of Tea Biscuit Mix
  • ⅔ cup of shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup of Milk
  • ¾ cup mini chocolate chips

 

What you'll need for the drizzle:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons heavy cream

 

How to make: 

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Cream 1 egg and 2/3 cups of shortening.
  3. Combine with Tea Biscuit Mix using a pastry blender to form a crumbly mixture. 
  4. Add ¾ cup of mini chocolate chips.
  5. Make a well in the center, add 1 cup of milk and stir together using a fork. Pour onto a floured surface and knead lightly. Roll out to 1" thickness. 
  6. Cut into rounds and place onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake for 12 - 15 minutes. 
  7. In a small bowl, combine the powdered sugar, vanilla, and 3 tablespoons of heavy cream. Stir to combine. Add additional heavy cream to form a drizzle. Drizzle over warm biscuits.
