What You'll Need:

  • 1/4 cup Cherry Amaretto Preserves

  • 2 tbsp hot water

  • 1 1/2 oz fresh lime juice

  • 3 oz mezcal or blanco tequila

  • 1 1/2 oz amaretto liqueur

  • Ice

  • 2 lime wheels, for garnish

How to Make:

  1. Stir the preserves and hot water together in a shaker until loose and syrupy.

  2. Add the lime juice, mezcal or tequila, and amaretto.

  3. Add a big handful of ice and shake for 30 seconds, until the shaker is nice and frosty.

  4. Strain into 2 glasses filled with ice. Use a fine mesh strainer if you want them super smooth, or a regular strainer to let a little cherry through.

  5. Garnish each glass with a lime wheel, or a cherry from the jar if you can fish one out. Cheers!
