Sencha Peach Green Tea

Our Japanese green sencha is complemented with peach flavour, mallow and chamomile flowers.

Almost all of Japan’s teas are green and are generally referred to as Japan Green or Japanese Green. Those referred to as Spider leg or Kokeicha are named after the leaf style in which the leaves are twisted to resemble thin needles or spiders’ legs. The Sencha variety is by far the most widely exported. Quality varies a lot; the best senchas are rich, delicate and refreshing in flavour and aroma and yield full-bodied, clear, light green liquor.

Since Buddhist Monks first planted tea in Japan more than 1,100 years ago, the Japanese have developed into a nation of devout tea lovers. Today Japan is among the top tea producers of the world. Known collectively as the “white wines” of teas, Japan Greens, like other green teas, are normally taken without milk or cream.
